2024 Nissan Altima Performance

2024 Nissan Altima Engine Specs

Except for one, all 2024 Nissan Altima trims run on the same efficient 2.5L inline-4 engine. The odd trim out, in this case, is the SR VC-Turbo®, which runs on a slightly smaller, 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine. And while the latter does push 248 hp when you use premium fuel (236 hp with regular), you should expect a corresponding (though slight) decrease in the Nissan Altima fuel economy as a result of this relatively increased performance.

• 236 hp @ 5,600 rpm (w/ regular fuel)
• 273 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm (w/ premium 93 fuel)
• 267 lb-ft of torque @ 4,000 rpm (w/ regular fuel)

2024 Nissan Altima Fuel Economy

Here are the Nissan Altima mpg figures by engine and drivetrain. As you’ll note, front-wheel drive variants are the most efficient and should be capable of traveling up to 27 city miles or 39 highway miles with a single gallon of fuel. On the other hand, you can opt for increased horsepower and torque with the Nissan Altima SR-VC Turbo®, though at the cost of increased fuel consumption.

However, this only means that instead of getting 39 miles per gallon on the highway, you’ll get 34 miles, which, in the grand scheme of things, is still quite excellent! At the very least, it’ll easily get you to and from Spring with minimal refueling stops and make long car trips less stressful and less expensive!
