2024 Nissan Altima Reviews

2024 Nissan Altima SL

The Nissan Altima has been the stalwart of the brand for many years, and it continues to impress The Woodlands drivers for its zip, high-tech interior, and safety features. It’s an outstanding addition to your Spring garage if you’re shopping for a reliable new vehicle. But you don’t have to take our word for it. Read some Nissan Altima reviews from automotive professionals, which we’ve compiled here. Some of them will touch on a Nissan Altima SL review, while others talk about the 2024 Nissan Altima’s reliability.

Nissan Altima Reliability & Performance Review

The Nissan Altima has a good 188-horsepower, 4-cylinder engine with AWD as an option, which is perfect for slick roads. There’s also a powered-up engine that gets even higher horsepower ratings with 248 hp. See what the experts have to say in the Nissan Altima reviews below.

Kelley Blue Book: “With a 0-60 time measured in the mid-7-second range, the Altima is quick enough for everyday merging and passing. It’s well suited to around-town driving, as well as highway cruising. Most families, we believe, will be well served by this midsize sedan. The SV trim and those models beyond it come with Active Ride Control, where subtle computer-controlled adjustments to power delivery and braking help smooth the ride quality. This alone is worth the SV’s extra $1,200 cost. This system also includes Intelligent Trace Control, a brake-based simulation of torque vectoring. Once again, imperceptible braking is employed, slowing individual wheels to help the Altima track around corners effectively.”

The Kelley Blue Book review gives the Nissan Altima a reliability rating 4.1 out of 5 stars for 48 reviews at this point.

Nissan Altima Review: Interior

If you’re looking for a high-tech interior for Conroe drives, these Nissan Altima reviews give you an idea of what to expect. The KBB article selves into a Nissan Altima SL review for the technology.

Car And Driver: “The cabin is otherwise every bit as comfortable and agreeable as the driving experience. User-friendly switchgear dots the straightforward dashboard. Interior materials vary among trim levels, but there are no disappointments. That’s a triumph considering how often hard plastics in some cars turn into sore spots for the eyes and the limbs, and even luxury makers occasionally get them wrong. There’s decent storage up front, with narrow, albeit deep, door pockets and a useful tray on the center console. Large rear seats provide plenty of legroom.”

Kelley Blue Book: “The big story inside the 2024 Altima midsize sedan is the availability of a 12.3-inch touchscreen. It’s standard in the 2.0 SR and the top SL trim, optional in the two trims below. This touchscreen also adds wireless Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, but Android users need to keep their cables handy. The front seats are exceptionally comfortable.”

Nissan Altima Review: Safety Features

The IIHS has released a safety rating for crashworthiness, giving the Altima a “Good” overall rating. Meanwhile, the NHTSA rated the Altima an overall 5 stars out of 5.

Meanwhile, Edmunds noted the driver assist features.

Edmunds: “The Altima’s ProPilot Assist system, which includes lane centering and low-speed adaptive cruise control, is quite the bonus. The adaptive cruise control works very well, needing little correction in traffic.”
