2019 HYUNDAI ACCENT OVERVIEW
Accent is Hyundai’s entry-level subcompact sedan. It’s available in three trim levels (SE, SEL, and Limited).
It’s powered by a 130-hp 1.6-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine with Gasoline Direct Injection and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing. The SE is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC®. The SEL and Limited only offer the automatic.
Hyundai positions Accent as “huge on tech, safety, and style.” Yet Versa excels with energetic and dynamic styling, a greater number of advanced convenience and safety technologies, and a CVT that provides better city, highway, and combined mileage ratings than the Accent’s automatic transmission.
WHAT’S NEW FOR 2019 ACCENT
Accent was all-new for 2018 and carries over with the following changes:
- Chrome grille on SE
- Fog lights on SEL
- LED headlights on Limited

3 Air bags are only a supplemental restraint system. Always wear your seat belt. Rear-facing child restraints should not be placed in the front-passenger’s seat. All children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or seat belts according to their size. Air bags will only inflate in certain accidents. 4 Lane Departure Warning only operates when lane markings are able to be detected. See Owner’s Manual for safety information.
5 Blind Spot Warning cannot prevent collisions and may not detect every object or warn in all situations. Driver should always turn and look before changing lanes. See Owner’s Manual for safety information.
6 Rear Cross Traffic Alert may not detect all vehicles. See Owner’s Manual for safety information.
7 Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection cannot prevent all collisions and may not provide warning or braking in all conditions. Driver should monitor traffic conditions and brake as needed to prevent collisions. See Owner’s Manual for safety information.
8 Rear Automatic Braking cannot prevent all collisions and may not provide warning or braking in all conditions. Driver should always turn and check surroundings before driving and brake as needed to prevent collisions. See Owner’s Manual for safety information.
9 Feature availability is dependent on vehicle model, trim level, packaging and options. Compatible connected device may be required and feature availability may be dependent on device’s capability. Refer to connected device’s owner’s manual for details. Late availability for some features.
