KEY VERSA ADVANTAGES

  • Available Rear Door Alert1 – When activated, Versa’s available Rear Door Alert provides a message in the vehicle information display — and later, an audible warning — to alert the driver to check whether an object may have been left in the rear seats when they arrive at their destination and put the vehicle in Park. Accent does not offer this feature.
  • Available Intelligent Cruise Control2 (ICC) (Full-Speed Range) – Versa’s available Intelligent Cruise Control automatically adjusts the vehicle’s set speed according to the flow of traffic. The system enables the vehicle to help maintain a preset gap to the vehicle ahead. This feature is not available on any Accent.
  • Available 7-inch Advanced Drive-Assist® Display (vs. 3.5-inch display) – Versa’s large Advanced Drive-Assist Display provides the driver with a wide variety of customization vehicle information and displays. Accent has a much smaller 3.5-inch vehicle information display with limited information.
  • More supplemental air bags3 – Versa has a total of 10 air bags, including two front-seat knee and two rear-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags. Accent only has six total air bags, and none of those are front knee or rear-passenger side-impact supplemental air bags.
    • Front-seat supplemental knee air bags
    • Rear-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags
  • More available advanced safety technologies – Versa offers a long list of advanced safety technologies that can warn drivers and intervene if necessary to help prevent a collision or mitigate its effects. Accent offers a Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist system on the Limited model only but has no equivalent to Versa’s other advanced safety features.

2019 HYUNDAI ACCENT OVERVIEW

hyundai accent rear view

Accent is Hyundai’s entry-level subcompact sedan. It’s available in three trim levels (SE, SEL, and Limited).

It’s powered by a 130-hp 1.6-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine with Gasoline Direct Injection and Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing. The SE is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC®. The SEL and Limited only offer the automatic.

Hyundai positions Accent as “huge on tech, safety, and style.” Yet Versa excels with energetic and dynamic styling, a greater number of advanced convenience and safety technologies, and a CVT that provides better city, highway, and combined mileage ratings than the Accent’s automatic transmission.

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2019 ACCENT
