2020 Murano Advantages over the 2019 Ford Edge; Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seats, Intelligent Around View® Monitor, Advanced Drive-Assist Display, Standard Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Rear passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbags and more…

KEY MURANO ADVANTAGES

  • Zero Gravity front and outboard rear seats – The design of Murano’s Zero Gravity seats can help reduce fatigue when driving long distances. Edge only offers seats with a conventional design.
  • Available Intelligent Around View® Monitor (I-AVM)1 (vs. front and rear cameras and no Moving Object Detection system) – Murano’s available Intelligent Around View Monitor provides 360-degree views around the vehicle, as well as visual and audible warnings if a moving object is detected within the displayed monitor image. Edge offers a front 180-degree camera in the grille and a separate rearview camera, but neither system detects moving objects within the monitor image.
  • Advanced Drive-Assist® Display2 (vs. 2 smaller displays) – A customizable 7-inch color display in the center of Murano’s instrument gauge cluster provides the driver with a clear and easy view of vehicle information and warnings. Edge uses two 4.2-inch displays that are 2.8 inches smaller to show information.
  • Standard Intelligent Forward Collision Warning3 (I-FCW) (vs. standard, but not intelligent) – Every Murano has Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, which helps alert the driver to a potential frontal collision by monitoring the vehicle traveling in front of the vehicle immediately ahead. If the system detects a potential collision, it alerts the driver with visual and audible warnings. Edge offers collision warning but it only monitors the vehicle directly ahead.
  • Rear passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags4 – Airbags mounted on the outboard sides of the rear seatbacks deploy when airbag sensors detect that a significant side impact is occurring, helping reduce rear passengers’ risk of injury during certain side-impact collisions. Edge does not offer this safety feature.
